Varun Sandesh's Maro Charitra in Canada !

The remake of K Balachandar’s classic film - Maro Charitra - starring Varun Sandesh and Anita in the lead roles is going to start its shooting soon in Canada instead of USA. Dil Raju said that Maro Charitra is an adaptation of K. Balachander-kamal hasan classic Maro Charitra (1979). “The basic story and screenplay of Maro Charitra are the same, but the love and actors are new. The movie has a US backdrop; the film will be shot in the US from April. We are also simultaneously shooting the Tamil version in association with Gemini Film Circuit. I met K. Balachander and took his permission to remake the film,” he added.

Mickey J Meyer is giving the music and Director and cinematographer Ravi Yadav (of ‘Race’ fame are part of the team. The film presented by Sri Venkateswara Creations under the banner Matinee Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which is being produced by Dil Raju Productions.

Hero Varun Sandesh said, “It’s my privilege to play the role of Kamal Hassan in the remake of ‘Maro Charitra’. I am very happy to act in the direction of Ravi Yadav”. Inside sources have now revealed that the film does not have a tragic ending and the script has been tweaked a bit to suit the taste of today’s audience.

Nayantara, Bhumika in Balakrishna's Bhishma

Sources reveal that the date has been finalized as the 6th of August when the movie would be launched formally. Bhishma is being directed by Ramesh Varma. There are three heroines in the film. According to sources the producer had already roped in Bhumika and Nayantara, while the search is on for the 3rd one. The release date will be announced on the day of its launch.

Director says that this has no releation to NTR's Bhishma but a action entertainer. Bellamkonda Suresh produced Chennakesava Reddy and Lakshmi Narashima with Balakrishna earlier.

Besides Bhishma, Balakrishna will be soon doing yet another big budget film, produced by Paruchuri Kirti, under the banner of United Movies. It is going to be more action oriented flick. The film is being produced by Bellamkonda Suresh who delivered hits with Balakrishna earlier and also produced Ramesh Varma's Ride.

Prabhas has signed to act in another movie which is named as Darling. Shooting of this film will starts from August 15. This movie will be directed by Karunakaran of Toli Prema fame and will be produced by BVSN Prasad of Chatrapathi fame. As his current flick, Ek Niranjan, directed by Puri Jagannadh, is nearing completion, he gave green signal to another film - Darling. Tamil actor Prabhu is playing a key role in this film, and he could give a new dimension to the film. The flick was officially launched on June 12 in Hyderabad.

Ladies Tailor sequel with Ravi Teja

Ravi Teja will play the lead in 'Fashion Designer S/O Ladies Tailor', a sequel of super hit Ladies Tailor (1985), starring Rajendra Prasad and Archana in the lead roles, will go on floors in early January, 2010. Ravi Teja who is doing a film after film without much gap has agreed in principle to do this film. According to reports, Ravi Kishore will produce the sequel as well. Tanikella Bharani, who wrote the dialogues for the original, handles the script again.

After Trisha announcing her Bollywood plans rumours have been afloat she might start concentrating only on Bollywood films. Trisha, however, still maintains that the South will be her mainstay and denies that she has tried to escape from her commitments in the South, “Despite being busy, we are trying to adjust dates for my films. If things don’t work out, we’ll part ways professionally. Southern films will always remain my mainstay,” she confirms.

She also says that she will wrap up her Telugu films with Gopichand and Venkatesh “in a couple a months” so that she has enough time to prepare for her B’ wood debut in which she has a “meaty role”.

Arun Prasad's family thriller 'Maa Naana Chiranjeevi', starring Jagapathi Babu, Neelima and Atulit in the lead roles, has completed its shooting and is ready to release soon. Rubbishing any connection that the film has to the mega star’s life, Jagapathi says, “It’s a film which captures the sentiments a father and son, nothing more. Music is by Hemachandra, camera is by Bharani K Dharan, editing is by Baswa Paidireddy, art is by KV Ramana, while action is by Ram-Lakshman.

The film has a unique theme of a relationship between a son and a father. It is believed that Jagapathi Babu fell in love with the script as soon as he heard the story and insisted on Arun Prasad to be a part of the film.

After two back to back flops in 'Siddham and 'Bangaaru Babu' and an average hit in 'Adhineta', Jagapathi Babu is very much in need of a blockbuster. The audio will release soon."
