Varun Sandesh's Maro Charitra in Canada !

The remake of K Balachandar’s classic film - Maro Charitra - starring Varun Sandesh and Anita in the lead roles is going to start its shooting soon in Canada instead of USA. Dil Raju said that Maro Charitra is an adaptation of K. Balachander-kamal hasan classic Maro Charitra (1979). “The basic story and screenplay of Maro Charitra are the same, but the love and actors are new. The movie has a US backdrop; the film will be shot in the US from April. We are also simultaneously shooting the Tamil version in association with Gemini Film Circuit. I met K. Balachander and took his permission to remake the film,” he added.

Mickey J Meyer is giving the music and Director and cinematographer Ravi Yadav (of ‘Race’ fame are part of the team. The film presented by Sri Venkateswara Creations under the banner Matinee Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which is being produced by Dil Raju Productions.

Hero Varun Sandesh said, “It’s my privilege to play the role of Kamal Hassan in the remake of ‘Maro Charitra’. I am very happy to act in the direction of Ravi Yadav”. Inside sources have now revealed that the film does not have a tragic ending and the script has been tweaked a bit to suit the taste of today’s audience.

Nayantara, Bhumika in Balakrishna's Bhishma

Sources reveal that the date has been finalized as the 6th of August when the movie would be launched formally. Bhishma is being directed by Ramesh Varma. There are three heroines in the film. According to sources the producer had already roped in Bhumika and Nayantara, while the search is on for the 3rd one. The release date will be announced on the day of its launch.

Director says that this has no releation to NTR's Bhishma but a action entertainer. Bellamkonda Suresh produced Chennakesava Reddy and Lakshmi Narashima with Balakrishna earlier.

Besides Bhishma, Balakrishna will be soon doing yet another big budget film, produced by Paruchuri Kirti, under the banner of United Movies. It is going to be more action oriented flick. The film is being produced by Bellamkonda Suresh who delivered hits with Balakrishna earlier and also produced Ramesh Varma's Ride.

Venatesh, Trisha starrer Namo Venkatesa in Europe !

Victory Venkatesh’s latest film ‘Namo Venkatesa’ being touted as a clean and family entertainer with the typical Sreenu Vytla twist. Trisha plays the female lead in this film. It is produced by Anil Sunkara, Achanta Gopinath and Achanta Ram. Music by Devi Sri. The crew is shooting the first schedule for 35 days in Europe. Gopi Mohan is providing the story for this film. This is Sreenu Vytla’s next film after ‘King’ with Nag-Trisha combo. Interestingly ‘Namo Venkatesa’ too has Trisha.

The leading lady for this is the petite beauty Trisha and this is going to be a high budget movie given the list of producers. After the incredible success of Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule (2007), this is the succeeding time Venkatesh teams up with Trisha.

Right now Trisha is in cloud nine as she is also making her debut in Bollywood while Venkatesh, the professional actor who has a perfect planning had completed his shooting part in ‘Eenadu’, the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster ‘A Wednesday’.

Posani, Arthi starrer Gentleman Launched by Megastar Chiranjeevi

Posani Krishna Murali starred and directed film Gentleman, presented by Nallam Srinivas and produced by Nallam Padmaja under the banner of Veerabhadra Productions was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on Friday. Praja Rajyam president and Mega Star Chiranjeevi gave the clap, switched on the camera and took up an honorary direction for the muhurat shot on Posani and Arthi.

Posani Krishna Murali said, “I am doing the role of a team leader in a software company. Arti Agarwal is doing my wife.Natasha is doing the role of my girlfriend. Surekha Vani plays another important role. Shashank Agarwal (father of Arti Agarwal) is making his debut as actor with this movie and he is playing the role of Arti’s father.”

Surprisingly this time he had gone for a decent and impressive title as 'Gentleman'. On other hand his other film 'Gaali Seenu' directed by Udaya Bhaskar is due for release. Mahesh Babu, Anushka starrer Varudu in Rajasthan

Mahesh Babu and Anushka would now romance in the summer heat of Rajashthan from the 23rd of June. They have recently finished the shoot in Malaysia and it is believed that it was an enjoyable affair. The first half of the shoot completed in Hyderabad in June and second half continues in Namibia (South Africa) and Rajasthan , followed by the songs shoot at Italy in September. Producer Singanamala Ramesh is planning for the release in December.

If the sources are to be believed Mahesh plays the role of a taxi driver in this film, while Anushka Shetty plays the miss universe. Earlier Parvati Melton was roped in place of anushka. It also has Prakashraj, Sunil, Brahmi, Nasser, Dharmavarapu, Ali etc. Sunil and Brahmanandam have key roles in this movie.

Rajiv Kanakala, Mumaith khan, Sindhu Tolani starrer Poison cleared by censor

Directed by Phaniraj, presented by Anoop Chakravathy and produced by D Ramesh Babu under the banner of Joshika Sai Lakshmi Films, 'Poison' featuring Rajeev Kanakala, Nagendra Prasad and Vijay Samrat as male leads and Sindhu Tulani and Suhasini as female leads. The movie sports Mumaith Khan in a special role which is the main highlight. Being on weight loss, Mumaith Khan too has lost weight and she has put down about 17kg for a new film of hers. The highlight of the movie will be a special song that has been canned on Mumaith Khan. There is news that the film has recently passed through the censor board and got a clean chit.

Producer Rameshbabu says, ‘Our director Phaniraj molded the subject on the celluloid with a never before concept and definitely the film would thrill the audiences. We are sure that the debut film under our banner would be a big hit.’

Prabhas, Kajal starrer Darling from August 15

Prabhas has signed to act in another movie which is named as Darling. Shooting of this film will starts from August 15. This movie will be directed by Karunakaran of Toli Prema fame and will be produced by BVSN Prasad of Chatrapathi fame. As his current flick, Ek Niranjan, directed by Puri Jagannadh, is nearing completion, he gave green signal to another film - Darling. Tamil actor Prabhu is playing a key role in this film, and he could give a new dimension to the film. The flick was officially launched on June 12 in Hyderabad.

Darling is also expected to be a huge hit and Prabhas is looking forward to doing the soft romantic comedy. This is the second time B.V.S.N. Prasad teams up with Prabas. Their earlier movie was Chatrapathi. G.V. Prakash scores the music.

Karunakar is coming fresh from the hit of Ulhasanga Utsahanga and he wants to continue the success streak. Director Karunakaran said, I envisaged the script for ‘Darling’ which is a love story with Prabhas in my mind.

Ileana to pair up with Vikram !

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Vikram whose Kanthaswamy (Mallana in Telugu) is ready to hit screens, has signed up his next project that will begin in September. ikram plays dual role in this film and for the first time Ileana is going to play as his leading lady. The producer and director are trying to negotiate with Nayantara also for a crucial role. Ileana had made her debut in Tamil with ‘KD’ opposite Ravikrishna. However, she is a busy actress in Telugu filmdom and is having a wonderful career.

He may soon start working with Vikram K. Kumar, who had directed Yaavarum Nalam, and the director too is eager to work with Vikram as he believes that he has the perfect script to make all Chiyaan Vikram fans go beserk.

Balakrishna, Nayantara starrer titled Dhanraj

Sources says that Balakrishna’s new film, to be directed by Boyapati Srinu with a whopping budget of Rs. 15 crore , has been titled Dhanraj. Director Boyapati Srinivas has given two successful movies "Bhadra" and "Tulasi", in the past. Paruchuri Kirti is producing this untitled mass entertainer under the banner of United Movies.M M Keeravani has been roped in to do the music for this film and Nayantara is the frontrunner to get the heroine’s role. This film will go on sets under United Movies banner during the 1st week of August. Nayantara who is having a hand full of movies thee days is all set to romance with Balakrishna.

The story of the movie would befitting to the image of Balakrishna. It has been a while since Boyapati has been trying hard to get a good offer and now with this one, he is all keen to ensure that he can bounce back to the main league of directors by making this a good hit.

Ram Charan, Kajal starrer Magadheera on July 31st

Ramcharan and Kajal starring huge budget film Magadheera is all set to hit the screens on July 31st. Producer Allu Arvind who has maximum number of theatres in his hand in AP is planning the release of Magadheera in a big way. The film is releasing on 1500 screens and 15 countries worldwide. The premier shows in USA are expected to be screened on 30 July. It is said that there were few final touch ups that had to be done for the movie along with few re-recording works so the date had to be rescheduled. Allu Aravind is planning to send the movie to Censor certification on 29th July.

The mega budget film, being made at a cost of Rs 40 crore by Allu Aravind, is directed by SS Rajamouli.Kajal Aggarwal plays the female lead in this film; Srihari essays a pivotal role. The mega powerstar Ramcharan Teja is all set to make a new trend with this movie.

Ladies Tailor sequel with Ravi Teja

Ravi Teja will play the lead in 'Fashion Designer S/O Ladies Tailor', a sequel of super hit Ladies Tailor (1985), starring Rajendra Prasad and Archana in the lead roles, will go on floors in early January, 2010. Ravi Teja who is doing a film after film without much gap has agreed in principle to do this film. According to reports, Ravi Kishore will produce the sequel as well. Tanikella Bharani, who wrote the dialogues for the original, handles the script again.

The superstar is on a roll as he is doing several high profile films. Contrary to early reports that Allari Naresh will be the hero in this sequel, it is now heard that the makers are trying to rope in Ravi Teja for the title role. Currently Ravi Teja is working in Anjaneyulu and will start acting for Nadodigal remake. So he will immediately begin this project after the completion of remake of Nadodigal.

Ravi Teja, Nayantara starrer 'Anjaneyulu' audio launched

Telugu fans are going to have another entertainment treat with Ravi Teja’s latest film Anjaneyulu. The film is directed by Parasuram and produced by Ganesh babu. The audio release function of the film happened grandly on Friday evening (July 24, 2009) at Taj Deccan and the music has been composed by Thaman. It is presented by Ravi Kiran Babu. Parasuram of Yuvatha fame is directing the film. Pawan Kalyan's Diwali Dhamaka with Komaram Puli

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s latest film Komaram Puli - opposite Nikisha Patel being directed by S.J. Suryah (of Khushi fame) is going to release on Diwali, unit members maintained. The buzz is that the audio of this film will be released on 2nd September, which happens to be Pawan Kalyan’s birthday. Though the shooting was done secretly, sources say that Pavan Kalyan can be seen in a Maoist attire in the film. Pawan Kalyan took this movie as prestige as Puli is releasing during the election time.

Komaram Puli is presented by S. Satyamurthi and produced by Singamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanakaratna Movies. A.R. Rahman is the music director. The director has also revealed that the film would also be dubbed in Tamil also. Some elements in the film have been included to appeal to Tamil audience tastes also. News here is that one of the major song in the film may it is the title song said to be leaked in the internet, and for all the songs are directed by Dr. A.R. Rahman who is the music sensational just he has received Doctrait ward. Most of song is in English with Puli humming in between and Rahman style can be distinctly seen in Puli song composition.

Vidheyudu Audio release on August 15

Shoot of the film, Vidheyudu is complete. The flick is made on Prem Movies banner and debutant Saimeera directing it. The film is presented by Prem Kumar Patra and produced by Sarita Patra. Interestingly a lady director, SN Meera is directing the film and the makers are introducing fresh faces in lead roles – Anand, Rachana Malhotra, Rajo Jayatri and Vasavi.

Prem Patra said, “Vidheyudu is about relationships and love. We have the tagline ‘premaku’ for Vidheyudu film. And we are planning to launch music around 15 August. We will release the movie either in the last week of August or in the first week of September. The rushes of Vidheyudu are fantastic and I am 100% confident of the success of this movie. Vidheyudu will have 90% entertainment and 10% emotion. ”

Allari Naresh, Kamna Jethmalani starrer ‘Bendu Apparao’ coming soon

Shooting of ‘Bendu Apparao RMP’ directed by EVV Satyanarayana, is progressing at a brisk pace. Naresh who is known for pairing up with new faces will be seen opposite Kamna Jethmalani in this film. Bendu Apparao RMP is being produced by D. Ramanaidu and the script is by Giri.

Speaking on the occasion, the director says, ‘We choreographed three songs in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Austria, with which we completed 50 per cent of shooting. We will wrap up the shooting part with the second schedule which is progressing in and around Konaseema on the banks of River Godavari. After a long time, I am directing a complete comedy entertainer. This time, we are experimenting dialogue comedy through this film. This is my second film on the banner, with my first being the debut ‘Prema Khaidi’. I am sure that the film would be a definite hit.’

Currently they are shooting some important scenes at Rajahmundry and this is being directed by his father E V V Satyanarayana.

Evaraina Eppudaina fame Vimala Raman going to Bollywood !

Varun Sandesh, Vimala starrer Evaraina Eppudaina success meet

Varun Sandesh and Vimala Raman starrer AVM Productions' Evaraina Eppudaina success meet was held at Villa Shoots in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Though the film was initially critically not acclaimed it ended up doing well at the box-office slowly. Gradually it became a hit and the credit should go to Varun Sandesh. Director Marthand K. Shankar, Marthand K. Venkatesh, Dil Raju, Varun Sandesh, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rama Prabha and others attended the function.

" You can see a new Varun Sandesh in Evaraina Yeppudaina. My role in this film is entirely different from the roles in my earlier films. For the first time, I played the character which has a mass touch.My fans are happy with my renewed energy levels. I want to do more powerful films. Godavari river and Paapi Kondalu are my favourite haunts,"," said Varun Sandesh.

Jr NTR, Nayantara starrer Adurs coming on october 14

October 14th is the date set for the release of NTR’s latest film Adurs after a prolonged shooting. The flick is directed by VV Vinayak and Spicy beauty Nayantara and hot babe Sheela are sharing the screen presence with NTR. Vallabhaneni Vamsi is producing the flick under Vaishnavi Arts banner. Jr. NTR is playing a dual role in the film ‘Adurus’. He plays the role of a Brahmin and he also plays an MLA in the film.

Sources say that Nayantara, who did a bikini act in the Ajith starrer Billa (Tamil), will repeat the same act in Telugu for this NTR starrer. The shooting of this film got postponed due to various reasons like elections, NTR's accident and so on.

Trisha desides to continue in Tamil and Telugu films !

After Trisha announcing her Bollywood plans rumours have been afloat she might start concentrating only on Bollywood films. Trisha, however, still maintains that the South will be her mainstay and denies that she has tried to escape from her commitments in the South, “Despite being busy, we are trying to adjust dates for my films. If things don’t work out, we’ll part ways professionally. Southern films will always remain my mainstay,” she confirms.

She also says that she will wrap up her Telugu films with Gopichand and Venkatesh “in a couple a months” so that she has enough time to prepare for her B’ wood debut in which she has a “meaty role”.

Some people are spreading rumours that Trish's Hindi film effort is to keep Asin in check. "I neither wanted frantically to do a Hindi film nor do I treat Asin as my competitor. All I'm concerned about is the films I'm starring in; I hardly have the time to check and monitor others' career," said Trisha.

Prabhu Deva plans to cast Nayantara in hindi film !

Prabhu Deva is getting many offers in Hindi and he plans to cast Nayantara in one of them, it is said. The film will go on floors once the choreographer-turned-actor-turned-director completes the Salman starrer as well as director Thangar Bachan's "Kalavadia Pozhudhugal", in which he is playing the protagonist. Earlier, there were rumours that Nayan and Prabhu tied the knot at Tirupathi last month. But the duo had vehemently denied the rumours.

Jagapathi Babu starrer Maa Nanna Chiranjeevi is complete

Arun Prasad's family thriller 'Maa Naana Chiranjeevi', starring Jagapathi Babu, Neelima and Atulit in the lead roles, has completed its shooting and is ready to release soon. Rubbishing any connection that the film has to the mega star’s life, Jagapathi says, “It’s a film which captures the sentiments a father and son, nothing more.
